Google Opens Up to Gambling Ads
Google, which has traditionally shied away from gambling and other "vice" related advertising on its advertising network, said Friday that it will start placing Gambling ads on web sites who opt into that category. The company said that the move to add Gambling as a category of AdSense ad is part of a way to "provide access to a wide range of possible advertisers." Google did say it would limit gambling ads to only those areas which allow gambling--determined by the location of the end users--and will not allow sites who cater to individuals under 18 years old to opt into the program.
