Amphire Acquires Makella

Redwood Shores-based Amphire Solutions, a provider of software-as-a-service for the foodservice industry, said today that it has acquired Makella, a European provider of SAAS based in the United Kingtom. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Makella was a unit of Bidvest Foodservice Group, a UK foodservice distributor. Makella provided food service purchasing systems, including online order capture and transaction processing. Amphire provides similar supply chain services to the food industry.
