Aptimus Acquired By Apollo Group

San Francisco-based Aptimus, which runs an online advertising network, has been acquired by the parent firm of The University of Phoenix. Arizona-based Apollo Group said it will pay $48m in cash for Aptimus. Apollo said that the acquisition will enhance the efficiency of its online advertising investments. In addition to The Unversity of Phoenix, Apollo Group also runs the Institute for Professional Development, the College for Financial Planning, Western International University and Insight Schools.
