BigStockPhoto Acquired By Shutterstock

Davis-based BigStockPhoto, an online stock photo agency, has been acquired by New York-based stock photo firm Shutterstock. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Shutterstock said that BigStockPhoto will remain a separate entity, but that it will invest heavily in marketing, infrastructure, and user experience for the site. BigStockPhoto was founded in 2004.
