CellScope Picks Up $1M
San Francisco-based CellScope, a developer of software that uses cellphone cameras to help diagnose pediatric ear infections, has raised $1M in a funding round, the firm said Monday. The seed funding came from Khosla Ventures. CellScope's software uses smartphones to allow parents to share images of eardrums with remote pediatricians, to help diagnose, treat, and monitor pediatric ear infections. The firm's technology is based on research from UC Berkeley. More information »
