CMP Acquires Portelligent

San Francisco-based CMP said Monday that it has acquired Portelligent, a provider of product teardown information for the electronics industry. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Portelligent provides a database and analysis of electronic products. According to CMP, Portelligent will become part of the company's Electronics Group and will be part of CMP's Semiconductor Insights division. Portelligent was a spinout of Austin-based Microelectronics and Computer Technology Corporation (MCC).
