Corel Buys InterVideo
Corel Corporation said today it is buying Fremont-based Intervideo, a provider of DVD burning and copying software, for $196M. InterVideo's products are used for digital video editing. InterVideo also owns Ulead, a major producer of DVD and video imaging software. The all-cash deal is worth $13 per share of InterVideo, which is listed as IVII on the Nasdaq. InterVideo employs 513 worldwide, with employees in Fremont, Tokyo, Shanghai, Taipei, and Bangalore. More information »
