Datavant Gets $40.5M For Healthcare Data
San Francisco-based Datavant, a developer of software used to "de-identify" personal information from healthcare data, in order to help improve medical research and care without compromising patient privacy or running afoul of HIPAA, has raised $40.5M in a funding round. The funding was led by Roivant Sciences and Travis May. The company's other backers include SoftBank Vision Fund, and Founders Fund.
