EA Buys ThreeSF
Redwood City-based EA said late Tuesday that it has acquire ThreeSF, the social network for gamers run by former Napster founder Shawn Fanning. Financial terms of the acquisition were not given. The Los Angeles Times reported that EA paid roughly $30M for the firm. ThreeSF operated Rupture, a social networking site focused on computer games, which was operating in a closed beta.
