eASIC Names COO

Santa Clara-based eASIC, the developer of new ASIC technology which is backed by Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers (KPCB), Crescendo Ventures, Advanced Equities Incorporated and Evergreen Partners, said yesterday that it has named Richard Heye as Chief Operating Officer of the firm. Heye joins the firm from SanDisk, where he was Senior Vice President of the SSD Division. Heye has also served at ATI Technologies, Advanced Micro Devices, and was once Director of Desktop Macintosh Products at Apple Computer. Heye also has been at Digital Equipment Corp.
