Geodesic Acquires Uruguayan Software Firm
Geodesic Ltd., a publisher of mobile and desktop communication applications, announced Monday that it has acquired South American instant-messaging software firm Interactive Networks Inc. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Geodesic, which is headquartered in Mumbai, India, but also maintains offices in Santa Clara, as well as throughout Europe, Hong Kong, and Mauritius, said the acquisition will allow it to offer a combined suite of entertainment and communication products. Geodesic noted that Interactive Networks will become a wholly owned subsidiary. Founded in 1999, Interactive Networks is headquartered in Montevideo, Uruguay.
