Google Acquires FameBit

Google has acquired Famebit, an online marketplace which connects brands to YouTubers, according to Famebit's backers, startup studio Science Inc. FameBit was founded by David Kierzkowski and Agnes Kozera, and was helping YouTuber monetize their channels and popularity by signing them up with brands who were interested in exposure to that audience. FameBit was backed by Science Inc., which said the acquisition is its third this year--the others being the acquisition of HelloSociety by The New York Times in March, and the $1B acquisition of Dollar Shave Club by Unilever in July.
