HP Buys IBRIX

Palo Alto-based HP said Friday that it has acquired Massachusetts-based IBRIX, a developer of enterprise file server software. Financial details of the acquisition were not released. IBRIX has 53 employees and serves the communications, media, entertainment, Internet, oil and gas, healthcare, life sciences, and financial services markets. IBRIX will become part of HP's StorageWorks division in its Technology Solutions Group. IBRIX was venture backed by JT Venture Partners, Credit Suisse, and others.
