HP Buys Logoworks
HP said Tuesday afternoon that it has acquired Arteis, a firm which operates an online logo and graphics design service. Arteis runs Logoworks, which provides its services to small businesses. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The acquisition is expected to close in the firm's third quarter. Arteis also owns LogoMaker, a online web design application that allows customers to create their own business logos. Arteis is funded by Benchmark Capital and Shasta Ventures. According to HP, it will greatly expand and enhance the services, and is subject to customary closing conditions.
