InSilica Raises $18M

Santa Clara-based InSilica, a provider of ASIC and system-on-a-chip designs using Indian semiconductor design teams, has raised $18M. Funding came from Intel Capital, Flextronics, Crossbow Ventures, Dow Ventures, and NewPath Ventures. InSilica said it will use the funding to build out its IP portfolio, and to add sales and marketing, operations, and engineering. InSilica focuses on systems-on-a-chip for mobile phones, high performance networking, high definition video processing and other OEMs. More information »
