Lyris Acquires U.K.-based Facultas

Emeryville-based online marketing software developer Lyris announced Wednesday that it has acquired Facultas, a full-service e-mail marketing agency headquartered in the United Kingdom. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Luis Rivera, Lyris' chief executive officer, said the acquisition is an opportunity to bring its Lyris HQ integrated marketing suite to the European market. As part of the acquisition, Lyris said it will be opening an office in central London. Donna McNicholas will lead the London sales team as UK sales director, Lyris noted, adding that Andrew Robinson, Facultas' former managing director and owner, has been appointed director of international professional services.
