Parse Acquired By Facebook

San Francisco-based Parse, a developer of mobile backend software used by mobile app developers, has been acquired by Facebook, the company announced Thursday. Size of the acquisition deal was not disclosed, however, the deal is reportedly worth $85M. Parse was venture backed by Ignition Partners, and had raised $5.5M in funding back in 2011.
