PLAYSTUDIOS Acquires Scene53

Burlingame-based PLAYSTUDIOS, which develops free-to-play casino games, said today that it has acquired Israeli game studio Scene53. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The two companies said they had worked together on POP! Slots, the latest game from Playstudios, which features virtual versions of Las Vegas resorts. Playstuidos said that Scene53's Tel Aviv team will become PLAYSTUDIOS Israel, and focus on that POP! Slots product.
