RDMD Finds $3M For Drug Development Technology

San Francisco-based RDMD, which is developing healthcare technology to accelerate drug development in rare diseases, has raised $3M in a seed funding round, the company said this morning. The funding was led by Lux Capital, and also included Village Global, First Round's Healthcare Co-Op, Garuda, Shasta Ventures, as well as other angel investors. The company says it is initially focused on forms of neurofibromatosis. Renata Quintini, partner of Lux Capital, joins as a board observer as a result of the funding round. The company's founder and chairman is Onno Faber; the company's CEO is Nancy Yu. More information »
