Runtastic Acquired By Adidas

Runtastic, which develops a suite of fitness and exercise applications, and has an office in San Francisco, has been acquired by Adidas, the two said today. Adidas said it would pay approximately $239M for Runtastic, which is headquartered in Austria. Runtastic was backed by publishing company Axel Springer, which owned 50.1 percent of the company.
