Salesforce.com Hires Former U.S. CIO Kundra as EVP
San Francisco-based Salesforce.com announce today that it has hired Vivek Kundra, the former CIO of the U.S., as its Executive Vice President of Emerging Markets. Kundra had been the first Chief Information Officer in the United States, responsible for managing the country's technology investments and policies. Kundra had been appointed to the position in March of 2009, saying that Kundra would be reponsible for directing the policy and strategic planning for federal technology spending. Kundra previously had served as CTO of the District of Clumbia, and assistant secretary of commerce and technology for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
