SportStream Gets $3.5M

San Francisco-based SportsStream said Thursday that it has raised $3.5M in a Series A funding, for the firm's social sports platform. The company said the funding came from Vulcan Capital, the venture capital arm of the Microsoft co-founder, and owner of the Portland Trail Blazers and Seattle Seahawks. SportStream helps people connect through Facebook with their other friends who are watching the same live sports game. The firm is a spinout of Evri, and is headed by Will Hunsinger.
