Wikia Buys ArmchairGM

San Mateo-based Wikia acquired ArmchairGM, an online sports community. The deal was worth more than $2M. ArmchairGM and Wikia share a common software platform. According to Wikia, the ArmchairGM site will continue to operate independently. ArmchairGM provides sports-oriented, wiki-based content, and was founded in March of 2006.
