Private Equity Firm Invests $100M In IBM Platform Firms
IBM and San Francisco-based private equity firm Thoma Cressey announced this week that Thoma Cressey has invested over $100M in technology companies service IBM's System i business computing platform. The investments include the acquisition of Irvine, California-based Vision Solutions in September, the November acquisition of Salt Lake City, Utah-based iTera, which the firm merged with Vision Solutions; and the recapitalization of San Antonia, Texas-based Sirius Computer Solutions. Sirius is a reseller of IBM's server products.
