Avago Technologies Acquires Infineon's Fiber Business

San Jose-based Avago Technologies has acquired Infineon's Polymer Optical Fiber business, the firms said today. Infineon's Regensburg, Germany business develops automotive multimedia infotainment networks and transceivers for safety systems. According to the firms, all research and development, marketing, and manufacturing employees of Infineon’s POF group are expected to become Avago employees. Financial terms of the deal were not announced. Avago Technologies is a provider of analog components for the consumer, indsturial, and communications markets.
