AmberPoint Scores $9M From SAP

Oakland-based AmberPoint, a developer of software for the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) market, announced today that it has received $9M in funding from SAP Ventures. The round also included investments from the firm's existing investors, Crosslink Capital, Meritech Capital Partners, Motorola Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners and Sutter Hill Ventures. AmberPoint said the funding will be used to increase its worldwide sales presence and customer support teams. AmberPoint's products are used for monitoring and controlling SOA applications.
