MuleSource Adds $12.5M
San Francisco-based MuleSource said this morning that it has added $12.5M in a second venture capital round. The firm said the funding came from Lightspeed Venture Partners. MuleSource develops integration software for open source infrastructure. This round brings the company's total raised to $16.5M, including a Series A round from Hummer Winblad and Morgenthaler Ventures in October of last year. MuleSource's open source software is used for SOA, web-based applications and the enterprise service bus (ESB) standard, which is used for communicating between SOAP based applications.
