Akeena Adds $12.6M In PIPE

Los Gatos-based Akeena Solar, a designer and installer of solar power systems, said Thursday that it has raised $12.6M in a PIPE offering. The Westly Group was disclosed as one of the investors in the deal. Empire Financial Group acted as placement agent in connection with the funding. The firm said the funding will go twoards general corporate purposes.
