Singulex Raises $19.1M

Hayward, California-based Singulex said Thursday that it has raised $19.1M in a financing round led by OrbiMed Advisors, along with its existing investors Fisk Ventures, Prolog Ventures and Advantage Capital. Singulex is developing a commercial diagnostic product based on customizable assays and single molecule detection, for monitoring protein biomarkers. The platform can be used for both monitoring health and for detecting disease. According to the company, the funding will go towards advacngin the scope and development of its solutions.
