Skype, Jingle Team On 411 Service

Menlo Park-based Jingle Networks, which operates the 1-800-FREE411 directory assistance service, and Skype, the online voice over IP service, said today that the firms are in a strategic partnership. Jingle said that its service will now be available to Skype users, and that it will provide Skype alerts with phone numbers found using its directory service. Jingle's services will be available as a Skype contact. The two companies also said that Skype will use 1-800-FREE411 as a marketing channel. Skype is owned by eBay.
