SideStep Acquires TripUp

SideStep, the Santa Clara-based online travel search engine, said this morning that it has acquired TripUp, an online community site focused on Travel. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. SideStep said that the deal completed July 2, and that it will integrate TripUp's community features into its site. TripUp was based in Los Angeles. SideStep is venture backed by Trident Capital, Norwest Venture Partners, PAR Capital, Saints Capital and Leader Ventures.
