moka5 Gains Funding, CEO
Redwood City-based moka5, a firm developing products for the virtual computing market, said last night that it has raised $15M in a Series B round, and hired a new CEO. Highland Capital Partners led the funding round, which also included existing investors Khosla Ventures. moka5 also said that Bill Demas has joined the firm as CEO. Demas was most recently SVP and GM of Yahoo's Publisher Network Group, and was formerly at Overture Services before its acquisition by Yahoo. moka5 is a spinoff of Stanford University's Computer Sciences Department.
