ViVOtech Closes Out Series C At $22.5M

Santa Clara-based ViVOtech, which is developing contactless payment systems for mobile phones, said today that it has closed out its Series C round of funding at $22.5M. The firm has added NCR and Miven Venture Partners as an investor in the firm, following the May addition of First Data Corp. to the round. ViVOtech had previously announced an initial close of the funding in May. ViVOtech is developing software for managing contactless payment using cell phones; other investors in the firm include Alloy Ventures, DFJ Gotham, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, and Nokia Growth partners.
