NaviSite Buys Hosting Providers

Massachusetts-based NaviSite, a provider of Internet hosting and application management services, said today that it has acquired two providers of hosting services, in a deal worth $15.5M. NaviSite said that it has acquired Santa Clara-based Jupiter Hosting, a provider of managed hosting for IPTV, video-on-demand and other video download services, as well as Alabanza, a provider of dedicated and shared web hosting services, which also maintains its data centers in Santa Clara.
