Building B Finds $7.5M

Belmont, California-based Building B said today that it has raised $17.5M in a financing round from Morgenthaler Ventures, Omni Capital, Index Ventures, and other investors. The firm said that it is looking to develop a "breakthrough" video entertainment platform which integrates television content in HDTV with on-demand and Internet video. The new firm's executives include Phil Wiser, former CTO of Sony. Andy Lack of Sony BMG Entertainment; Dr. Arun Netravali of Omni Capital; and Bob Pavey of Morgenthaler join the firm's board as part of the funding.
