VMware Scores Win AT NSA

Palo Alto-based VMware said this morning that the firm has signed an agreement with General Dynamics C4 Systems, a defense contractor, to develop a workstation solution for the National Security Agency (NSA) using its software. No financial details of the deal were disclosed. VMware said the win was part of a NSA contract to design secure workstations for the U.S. Department of Defense, the intelligence community and other government agencies, as part of an effort to allow users with different security clearance levels to use a single physical machine.
