Business Objects Acquires FUZZY! Informatik

San Jose-based Business Objects said late Wednesday evening that the company has acquired FUZZY! Informatik, a German provider of data quality services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. FUZZY! Informatik has more than 50 employees based in Ludwigsburg, Germany, and is a spinoff of DaimlerBenz AG. FUZZY! provides data cleansing services, including fixing titles, names, postal addresses, removing duplicate customers, and other information in customer databases.
