4Blox Gains Funding For iSCSI Software
San Jose-based 4Blox Inc., a company developing iSCSI acceleration software, said today that it has landed a round of private equity funding from Flywheel Ventures. Financial terms were not disclosed. 4Blox develops products used to accelerate storage networking traffic based on the iSCSI Ethernet storage protocol. 4Blox also said that it has added George Symons to its board, and Mickey McIntire to its advisory board. Symons is currently CEO of Yosemite Technologies, and has previously served at EMC; McIntire is CEO of String Bean Software, which provided Microsoft with its current iSCSI target driver.
