Investors Approve Solectron Acquisition

Milpitas-based Solectron and Singapore-based Flextronics International said Thursday afternoon that the firms' shareholders have approved the Flextronic acquisition of Selectron. The firms said they now expect the acquisition to complete October 1st. Flextronics is buying Solectron for a deal worth approximately $3.6B.
