Yahoo, eBay, PayPal Attack Phishing
Yahoo!, eBay, and PayPal said this morning that the three firms are taking aim against fradulent emails, as the three focus on reducing the number of phishing emails that consumers receive. The three said they are teaming to use DomainKeys e-mail authentication technology to block malicious messages which claim to be from eBay or PayPal. The companies aid that the technology upgrade will be rolled out globally over the next several weeks to users of Yahoo's mail services. DomainKeys is Yahoo's email validation scheme, which uses encrypted keys to verify where an email is coming from.
