Zynga Gets Funding

San Francisco-based Zynga Game Networks, an online gaming firm which develops games for social networking web sites, has raised an undisclosed round of funding, according to the firm's backers. Fred Wilson of Union Square Ventures announced the funding on Union Square's blog, saying that other investors in the firm included Foundry Group, Avalon, Reid Hoffman, Peter Thiel, and several other angels. Zynga was founded by Marc Pincus of Tribe.net. More information »
