Facebook Adds Spanish Support
Palo Alto-based social networking web site Facebook said late Thursday that the firm has rolled out a new, international version of the site in Spanish. According to Facebook, the move is the first step in the company's plan to internationalize the site; it expects to add German and French support in coming weeks. The new Spanish support allows users to change their language preference in their account settings, and the firm said it will begin showing the site in Spanish to visitors from Spanish-speaking countries Monday. Facebook said that the translation of the firm's site to Spanish was handled by 1,500 users of the site's service.
