Tzero Garners $18M in Series C Funds

Tzero Technologies, a fabless semiconductor manufacturer of ultra wideband CMOS chipsets, announced Monday that it has concluded its third funding round after securing $18 million. Tzero credited new investor the CID Group with leading the effort. Tzero said it also received full participation from existing investors August Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, OVP Venture Partners, U.S. Venture Partners and VentureTech Alliance. Rajeev Krishnamoorthy, Tzero's founder and chief executive officer, said the company will use the money to win new business and to bring its next generation of products to market. Established in 1998, the CID Group is a private equity firm based in Asia. Founded in 2003, Tzero is headquartered in Sunnyvale, Calif. More information »
