Yardbarker Barks Up $6M

Emeryville-based Yardbarker said Thursday that it has scored $6M in a Series B round of funding. The firm, which operates an online sports community and advertising network, said that the round was led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson. Other investors in the round included Russ Siegelman, Ronnie Lott (SC Investments Consulting), Jarl Mohn, Labrador Ventures, Baseline Ventures, and others. The funding will go towards engineering and sales expansion. Yardbarker operates an online site for sports fan and celebrity athletes. As part of the funding, Josh Stein of DFJ will join Yardbarker's board. More information »
