MediaXstream Buys Production Consulting Firm

San Jose-based MediaXstream announced Monday that it has acquired Los Angeles-based Secure Media Solutions. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. MediaXstream, which provides carrier-neutral, transport and network services to the media production and broadcast industry, said that Secure Media Solutions will become part of its managed services offerings. MediaXstream is privately held, and funded by Constellation Ventures and Columbia Ventures Corporation.
