VantagePoint Bolsters Cleantech Group With CIA's Woolsey

San Bruno-based VantagePoint Venture Partners said Wednesday that it has expanded its clean technology practice group with two new hires. According to the firm, it has added R. James Woolsey as Venture Partners, and David Edwards as Partner. Woolsey has been an advisor to the firm since 2006, and was formerly director of the CIA (from 1993 to 1995); Edwards joins from Morgan Stanley, where he was a research analyst. VantagePoint also said it has promoted Marc van den Berg to Managing Director at the firm.
