Gydget Launches On MySpace
San Francisco-based Gydget, a provider of widgets to music artists, sports teams, and others to promote themselves, said Thursday that it has rolled out its widgets on MySpace. The firm said that it will launch its FanSpace product on MySpace, which will allow bands and sports teams to engage their fans on MySpace. The tool allows bands to create free widgets, which gives their fans access to music, video, and tour news on their profiles. Gydget closed a round of funding last November from SunBridge Partners and angel investors. Gydget claims that it has more than fourteen hundred recording artists using its widgets, including Beyonce, Gwen Stefani, Third Eye Blind, and Counting Crows.
