Alien Technology Names VP, CFO

Morgan Hill-based Alien Technology Corporation, a developer of RFID technology, said Monday that it has named Charles G. Alvarez as its VP of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Alvarez joins the firm from 2wire, where he was EVP and CFO. He has also served at Verisity, Alliance Semiconductor, LSI Logic, and General Electric Company. Alien is a provider of UHF RFID ICs, tags, readers and professional services. The firm is backed by Adams Street Partners, Advanced Equities, Beagle Ltd., CMEA Ventures, Digital Bandwidth, Dow Chemical Company, Equitek Capital, First Analysis, Forsythe Technology, H & S Ventures, Lago Ventures, Manhattan Associates, New Enterprise Associates, Quan Ventures, RHO Ventures, Sevin Rosen Funds, and SunBridge Partners.
