Integration Associates Sold to Silicon Labs for $80M

Silicon Valley-based fabless semiconductor manufacturer Integration Associates Inc. has officially been acquired by mixed-signal integrated circuit producer Silicon Laboratories Inc. of Austin, Texas, Silicon Labs announced Wednesday. The deal, Silicon Labs said, is worth some $80 million after accounting for Integration Associates' net assets. Integration Associates makes analog-intensive integrated circuits. Necip Sayiner, Silicon Labs' president and chief executive officer, said the acquisition hastens his company's entry into the short-range wireless market while also expanding its power and intellectual property portfolios. Silicon Labs said Integration Associates' products will be sold under the Silicon Laboratories brand and supported by Silicon Labs' global sales and service network.
