Eye-Fi Sees $11M
Mountain View-based Eye-Fi, which develops wireless memory cards for digital cameras, said today that it has raised $11M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by TransLink Capital, and also included LMS Capital, Opus Capital, and Shasta Ventures. Eye-Fi said the investment would go to fund further development of its portfolio, to expand distribution, and scale its organization. Toshi Otani of TransLink joins the firm's board along with the funding. Eye-Fi's memory card uses wireless technology to transmit pictures directly from digital cameras to a computer.
